Yeah, when I saw a reference to Orochi I had the same question...

Can’t wait! Control was one of the best games I’ve played last year and I could really use more of it now!

So when do you reckon we’d get the non-VR version? As the reviewer says, good VR setup is expensive, no everyone has the money and the space for it, and I personally get really bad vertigo from VR and it’s very awkward to use because of my glasses. I’d love to play this being a huge HL fan but there’s no way I’d get a

I had never finished FF7; every time I try to play it, I get out of Midgar and then lose interest in playing. So I guess Square Enix read my mind and made a game just for me! :)

No, I personally wouldn’t. I have both in my collection because I just love Dune (the book and its sequels) so much, but that’s really the only reason. If you have Rex in your collection, I would pass on Dune the board game. The gameplay is almost the same, but I personally think that Rex made some much needed changes

If you are looking for something a little bit like Dune but not actually Dune, Chaos in the Old World is pretty great. If you can find Rex: Final Days of an Empire - it’s Dune reskinned for Twilight Imperium setting with better rules (IMO at least). If you are craving a faster game with easier rules that still

I can confirm that at less than 5 players it isn’t very good. 6 is optimal but 5 is also pretty good.

Planescape Torment, Disco Elysium and Spec Ops: The Line would be the three games I wish I could forget entirely and then play all over again.

I got all excited to see a Kotaku article penned by Kirk Hamilton and then I saw that it was published back in 2013 and recently bumped. :(

Without spoiling anything, that’s the line the rest of the game toes. You are the Director of Control. You are in Control. You wield the Service Weapon. Everyone wisely acknowledges you as the director and gets the fuck out of your way. This game was such a rush and a power trip. If it wasn’t for Disco Elysium,

Jedi Fallen Order, Outer Wilds, Pillars of Eternity 2, Dishonored 2 and Greedfall are the top ones on my backlog list. I’m going to try very hard not to buy any new games (except for my Cyberpunk preorder) until I finish all of these.

Absolutely fucking true. Disco Elysium is like a love child of Planescape Torment and Murakami’s Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World but raised by Warren Ellis.

Having the 9mm finger pistols thought equipped turned out to be RIDICULOUS in some dialogue options. I gotta try high Shivers next time too!

It is the funniest and bleakest and certainly the best-written game I’ve played all year. It haven’t finished it yet (getting pretty close though) but it might turn out to be my personal GOTY and one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played. And it REALLY puts the “role” into the roleplaying game. It is ridiculous how many

I disagree. I’ve been to weddings with a cash bar, weddings with an open bar and weddings where for various reasons (venue, religion, etc.) no bar. The weddings with an open bar were generally a shit show and the couple were even more stressed due to cost. A good compromise I’ve seen was a cash bar and a couple of

Fuck Blizzard, fuck Tencent too, fuck anti-union corporations too.

Very much enjoyed the demo, the combat started out simple but quickly offered more options, the story was interesting enough, I’m digging the graphics and the audio quite a bit, and I don’t feel like everything is very chaotic (can pause whenever I want to) and about to fall apart, which made FTL so stressful for me

I think the Steam page literally says “Inspired by Dune and Foundation series” ;)

This is an excellent list but I think it is sorely in need of an update. For example:

Don’t get me wrong, I quite enjoyed Carole & Tuesday but mostly for its art, the setting, the feel-good atmosphere and the characters. The plot was so-so (especially when it hit the American Idol-style competition), but the music was the weakest part of the show for me. The closing song is really catchy, and Loneliest
