If Shadow Tactics is any indication, this team would be AMAZING at making a Commandos sequel.

The board gaming reddit is toxic as fuck. Any attempt to actually discuss the history or politics portrayed or implied in different board games is almost reflexively shouted down by the “keep politics out of my games” crowd. The same hobby that has a bajillion games about fighting the Nazis, games that implicitly have

It’s one of my favorite 2 player games now, and the fact that it comes with a campaign and for THAT price, it’s a ridiculously great steal! I can’t wait to try the North African campaign!

I want to give more recommends to this post the interwebs wouldn’t let me. :( I was about to type the very same thing - most of the what ought to be in the base game is usually held back and then doled out as DLCs to nickle and dime the rabid fans such as myself.

This is Cas. He’s a huge cuddle bug. This is a mini Leona for scale

Now this is my opinion only but there are several reasons not to pick up the DLCs.

Stellaris is still my favorite Paradox grand strategy game and it looks like Paradox has learned a few things about designing UI that works for the player, not against the player. I’d probably skip trying to learn CK2 if you’re planning on diving into CK3 though. I’d give Hearts of Iron 4 a try if you like World War 2

I love his art style. Without it Disco Elysium would be poorer.

I’m curiously because I was unable to find out more information, but will there be more DLCs and expansions for Fallen Order? I really enjoyed it but by the end I wanted more. I can’t find a roadmap for future releases pertaining to Fallen Order so I really hope that more content is planned for that game.

I had a lot of fun with it, but I also paid only 10 bucks for it. Got about 20 solid hours of wasteland car destruction and punching assholes in the face.

When you do get to interact with the world, the game is larded with short animations that play when Max takes important actions: when he fills his canteen with water (which he can drink to restore his health); when he bends down on one knee to eat dog food or maggots (another way to increase his hit points); when he

What I liked in the trailer: no horned helmets!

Farewell Maddy! You will be missed! I’ll keep listening to you and Kirk and Jason on your wonderful new podcast!

You deserve so much more than what you get for the job you do. I could not imagine dealing with 10% of what you deal with every day. Thank you.

No goddammit! No! I’m so sorry you leaving Jason... Your writing has always been an inspiration! I am looking forward to your second book and the new podcast with the ever wonderful Kirk and Maddy! Best of luck to you!

Completely agree. I find it troubling how many games not only have a Nazi German campaign, but that sometimes (like Panzer General, Corps, Corps 2) it’s the default campaign.

Asking for a quick clarification if I may: the game length that you quote in the article, is that how long it took for you to finish, cutscenes and all? If so, approximately how much of that playtime was cutscenes? I’m asking because although I very much want to play it, it’s hard to justify paying the full price for

Just finished the Foundation DLC for Control, also played some Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, and tomorrow I’ll start on finishing the Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Atlantis expansion.

I second a box organizer, or even getting some bait tackle/button plastic organizers plus a cheap light folder organizer (for the tiles). Made setting up and breaking down the game much easier and more enjoyable. Also committing to two or three scenarios for a game night makes setting up and breaking down an easier
