Tesla doesn’t design their cars to be serviced by anyone else but their techs and in specific ways. Sadly most OEM’s are reducing the amount of DIY service that can be done.

Yeah, they almost pay YOU to add more years to your subscription. I used to have 4 car magazines, and I still get mailers to renew them for like $6. I still enjoy Car & Driver, but it’s around a buck an issue or something close to that, so why would I use airline miles to save such a small amount of money?

The boat special (at least the one where they sink some David Tracy level of rusty cars to begin growing new coral reefs) was probably the one which had the most memorable scene: Hammond saying “let me just rest my balls on this crane” after actually not fucking something up.

Storage probably isn’t the issue, it’s bandwidth. Most of those folks in the Europes just barely got electricity and 14.4k modems.  Sharing raw footage probably takes weeks to toss around.
