The Novint Falcon can convey texture. I bought that thing a number of years ago and the tech demo on it is nuts. You can feel the smoothness of silk and the rocky texture of a cobblestone. I'd love to see them figure out how to get that kind of force feedback into something like this.

Everytime Lord of the Rings comes up...

At this point I feel absolutely idiotic for not following this game at all. Like, I haven't even watched a single trailer for it.

I'm so, so sorry for that now that I've read the reviews. I'll have to read up on it some more tonight and contemplate splurging.

It's not "too good to be true", it just reminds me of something out of those old 90's point and click adventure games. They're taking photographs/sensor data and stretching it over a frame to make it a 3d environment. There isn't anything too unbelievable about that! Now if this was all hand-created environments being

Yeah, unfortunately that seems to be the case with a lot of the companies that we all "grew up" with. I'm surprised that people aren't more focused on getting another *actual* Warcraft game or hearing more about the last part of Starcraft II.

Yeah, but those were the only rumors. Nothing was official, there was no setting or storyline, no leaked artwork/concept art. Just a codename and a rumor of what type of game it might be.

That's not enough to get that emotional over.

That basically sums it up. On Reddit people were saying that they were really looking forward to it and were crushed by the news. Really? We knew *literally* nothing about the damn thing.

I can understand being intrigued by it but come on....

Don't know if it's the same bug but sometimes I start the game and there simply isn't any sound at all from it. I have menu sound from the console itself though.

That's why I finally just stopped following any mobile phone gaming news and stopped buying that stuff. It's just not fun to play

You know, you can break down the semantics but Destiny really is an MMO. Massively Multiplayer Online. Destiny is on online game in which you share common environments and gamespace with other players and team up for PVE and PVP missions.

It *really* is an MMO, albeit not a full-featured one.

Not to mention looking at the lineup of upcoming games!

"Oh, that's coming out! SWEET! Oh.. wait, no. The new semester starts/that's finals week/midterms should be around then/etc."

Same here bud! Between work and grad school I haven't had much time for the game yet.

There are reviews out online....

"and it's not just Peter Dinklage's delivery."

No kidding. I just can't understand how they published his audio. Did it not sound stilted to anyone at Bungie? or was that the best version of all his recordings that they'd captured?

Very cool! I never got too into the stats-side of things with Pokemon but I used to go to the official tours when they'd come through MD. When I was in middle school and playing Red/Blue, I did ok for myself at the beginning but didn't get to progress to the "gym leader" stage until towards the end of the event. I

That's hardcore! I preordered the game on Xbox One but have only managed to finally play a few hours last night. Grad school got in my way but I'm going to try and make up for it this weekend.

Kind of an odd comment

Holy shit, really?

Just got it! Any tips for me?
