Battery efficiency going up ~7% per year is basically a lie. It’s the lie of looking at all battery technologies historically and averaging. What really happens is we shamble along at minor increases in efficiency and then get a new commercially viable battery chemistry which gives a big jump and then putter along…
You know why your list of diseases weren’t a total nightmare it was because we acted... whats the word... paranoid about the risk and took steps to mitigate the danger.
While I don’t want the ceiling to be regulated, it would be nice if something happened to bring a good selection of reasonably powered beginner and intermediate bikes to the US. It’s gotten a little bit better recently, but it seems like the over 50hp over 500lb offerings from one big maker outnumbers the the…
While I do not like the facing seats with joe random stranger on the train, I like them a lot with family and friends.
I’d rather have the lifted wagon or hatch aesthetic if we do.
Is the buyer without fault in this? No. However is the behavior unethical on the part of the dealer? Yes. Being the one involved in this on a daily basis with potentially naive customers, they should not be recommending the practice without fully explaining the repercussions.
Sponsors will back a gimmick. But that gimmick has to get attention, and that attention has to come form a sufficiently valuable demographic.
The gladiator is priced wrong. The Wrangler gets away with it because there isn’t a lot of competition and what is there is even more expensive. I think jeep had both a bit of hubris, and did not feel they had to be conscious of how high the price went to avoid cannibalizing their full size truck sales.
Fun fact. MASSIVE quantities of humans drive an even more massive quantity of miles and actually crash relatively infrequently.
Except none of those models made in China ships in terribly significant numbers. If you put them all under one brand, they’d be pretty far back in the market and have a pretty poor reputation.
The only reason KIA is here is Hyundai took them over. The only reason Hyundai is here is that they had enough cash to sell really cheap while simultaneously investing heavily in unprecedented levels of automation in auto manufacturing and building quality control into their production pipeline.
Taking a while to accept that Korean manufacturers can make good cars was due to the fact they dug their own hole selling very, very bad cars in the US first.
A battery breakthrough is necessary. Perhaps several. The charging infrastructure is improving but that is like reading articles on small companies being the fastest growing company in America.
Here’s the problem with your argument:
It’s very USPS looking. Also who the hell cares other than people who want to whine about Trump? Jeez this is some petty shit.
It’s not copyright, it’s a trademark. As for common words and trademarks, I will point out the word apple. That word has been trademarked by a lot of businesses in various areas. Maybe if you were prepared to go to court you might be able to jump in and get it trademarked for crime scene cleanup or something.
It comes with some advantages, such as better visibility at night and in the rain/snow.
100 miles is fine for most people most days. I’d get screwed by it on average about 32 times a year, and I drive less than the national average for distance.
They are going for range. Big batteries in big arrays mean range. But it also means you can pull a ton of juice out of them. So you can advertise good range, or you can put beefier motors in them and advertise good range, insane power, and low 0-60 numbers.
