Macy’s Day parade float versions” sounds like the best description here, but I just thought of one major caveat: aren’t those balloons usually finished before they’re trotted out before the public? Multiple shots in that promo reel look like that they spent just a few minutes in... well, whatever department follows

I’m going to avoid jumping onto the “Rugrats wasn’t all that great” bandwagon as I’ve seen so little of it as to make an objective opinion. (Heck, I’ve likely seen and enjoyed more of All Grown Up during Nick Rewind’s recent Paramount+ promoting scrounge of Nick Toons.) Instead, I’m going to address one line in the

“Dunk and Egg”? Really, HBO?? John Oliver gave you three solid prequel ideas over a year ago (at least 46 seconds into that presentation) on a show that you guys own so there can’t be copyright issues there, and he seemed to have express substantial confidence in them. (“HBO’s going to be fine. It’s going to be fine!”)

Well, time to write a special episode where Christopher’s mid-life cri... I mean, “Late Machismo Awakening”** led him to the Alps or Mt. Everest, and one of the local crevices soon after. Bonus points if Emily gave him the tour package for his birthday.

Does anyone want some cashews?

What?

It better have been, after they dropped the ball on the Eugenics Wars coverage.

Spotify paid $100,000,000 for this guy (again, “reportedly”, but I’ll use “allegedly” as I have some trouble buying that) yet they couldn’t or wouldn’t hold onto R.E.M.’s “MTV Unplugged” album(s) nor Brent Spiner’s “Ol’ Yellow Eyes Is Back”. Guess there’s no need to feel guilty about avoiding a Premium membership

Great. Beaten to the MST3K/”Space Mutiny” reference by.... [[checks computer’s time]] ...2 hours, 40-odd minutes.

Could be worse, I guess.

Maybe (as in finally) we can find out what Moral #7 is.

Worth catching, though I have to ask who cut and pasted those times and left them in one big wraparound without hitting the Return key.

I had to check Wikipedia to get out of my years-long fallback assumption that wasn’t a TV adaptation of National Lampoon’s Movie or Something with “Vander” in the Title to Remind You that “National Lampoon” is... Something. Or whatever that was called.

And even now, I’m pretty sure that my “idea” was slightly better.

Nice wristwatch.

The comedic world, the entertainment world, and yes, the world in general is poorer with his absence.

In a way, it’s both heartening & saddening to know that he “received an Oscar nomination alongside Calder Willingham in 1979” for a film that was released in late 1967. Heartening & saddening, that is, to know there’s

I do wonder if talking about the next Evil Dead installment/spinoff/whatever is a defense mechanism against talking (or thinking) about Spider-Man 3. (Sorry Sam, but if you said “Action”, then Parker’s pelvic thrusts are still on your head.)

((And of course, I totally screw up the line “maybe a Facebook & e-mail writing campaign is in order.” <<frustrated grunting>>))

Nor has A.V. Club done any obit story for Trek writer D.C. Fontana, the women who gave us Spock’s parents. I don’t like generating conspiracy stories (that’s a whole other reply thread that I’d rather not get into), but part of me is wondering if something is up. Though more likely it’s just coincidental sloppiness. (E

NOT to be confused with Rob Paulsen. (Just putting that out there.)

Well, I can guess what (you thought) got legalized in your state.
