Companies in this country make more profit now than ever before in it’s history. Productivity is at an all time high. Wages are at an all time low. There is *plenty* of room for wages to go up without triggering inflation - it’s called ‘non-historic profits’. (That means the companies would need to eat the loss).

Considering that with the cost of shipping overseas the cost increase in price tends to be 10% or less. Yes. I’ll pay an extra 3 dollars on an Iphone for it to be made safe and humane (even if that means paying ‘gasp’ American labor prices). I’d pay 5 bucks more for a manhole cover to ensure the workers have shoes.

Alright - working on learning about differentials - I get the idea of ‘backlash’ - that’s the movement towards or away from the other gear in a gear set (2 gears - because reality the teeth can move apart or closer while the machine is moving - this is called backlash) - what I don’t get is ‘preload’ and what on earth

Go figure - try a search on ‘rusted brake lines GM’ and then explain why having a batch of brake lines that rust out isn’t a saftey issue... I don’t understand it still :)

Why does anyone have to say something “bad” about Sarkeesian? You can dismiss her work or not like it (which is actually fine) - the biggest issue most have with the ‘gg’ crowd is that they don’t do that - they go out of their way to personally attack her.

A true failure should have multiple stop points - first the cable snapping - then breaks apply - first fall - at this point honestly the fire dept should arrive and advise you when it’s safe to exit. Assuming however the breaks fail - the second fall should be to the safety cable - then stop. At that point it’s a good

It’s not free fall - the breaks would kick in - even if they failed they would cause friction - assume however the breaks are gone totally - the elevator is still attached to railing which will cause friction and slow it down - then the air under the car is pushing up against it so that slows it down as well (take a

Much of it depends on your reaction - a black widow bite can cause issues with breathing depending on the way your body reacts - and in some cases the pain can be very bad. I believe if its bad they will admit you for monitoring - and attempt to let the poison run it’s course without treatment - only administering

a “rare” bug is one that can’t be repeated with a known set of steps (for example - set health at 50% and press X,Y,Z in that order bug happens) - why it’s “rare” comes down to basically they haven’t figured out what specific set of variables have to be set to cause the program to select a bugged path. Most likely

That’s because abortion isn’t murder. If I will only live by using some of your body for my medical need - you have the right to say no.

Now playing

NSFW - language - as a bonus this is one of the guys responsible for Pathfinder (the role playing game) :)

Your system will also keep copies of the registry under your ‘system volume information’ folder - which is accessable if you boot from a recovery OS like bartPE or linux (I perfer knoppix for this task) - I’ve found in practice there are usually 10-50x as many ‘restore’ points for registry files than are available

Ok... worked like a charm:

Fair enough - I can tell you later tonight - I started my download this morning before leaving for work and won’t have time to upgrade until this evening. I assume it works because when my son begged me to put the insider build on his machine (he ran windows 7), the upgrade (from DVD) worked flawlessly without asking

You can upgrade a machine by downloading the media creation tool and creating your own disk also. Having 7 computers to update I am not letting each one download 5-6 gig from microsoft when I can download it once and install from usb/dvd.

Personally I find the idea of putting { on the same line as the caller ugly - and you don’t gain any speed or functionality by making your code ‘spaceless.’ Then again I (opinion here) find way to many people that spend too much time trying to make something clever that is short than just doing it simply because ‘it’s

“Some math: Wings of Liberty is 27 missions for ‘just’ one race’s campaign. SC1 and Brood War had a *combined* total of 18 missions for the Terrans.”

Imagine if someone doesn’t play Starcraft online (at all) and played the first one *just* for the story - now imagine if that same person hasn’t purchased Starcraft 2 at all (despite being a day 1 purchase for the first game) because they want a complete game with all 3 stories at once - yeah that’s me. Go figure. I
