Frankly, were I to commit suicide, I would take my cats to be euthanized first. They are 13 and one is toothless and both HATE other animals. Not good candidates for adoption, at all. I would want to spare them months in a cage, separated, only to be killed by the shelter anyway when no one adopted them.

"freak occurence" is slang for "extremely rare" and yes, I know it is caused by a recessive gene. I never said it was not biologically possible, I just said it was rare and because of the rarity, zoos are constantly trying to reproduce them. It usually does not happen.

I kinda agree. I have taken my son to pride marches and animal rights demos since he was born, but didn't really want to put a sign in his hand until this year. He's almost 6 and now old enough to read the sign, understand it, and have a conversation about it.

My mom was 18 when she had me and a kid does not want that either. My mom was poor, ill-equipped, uneducated and I think resents me now because I didn't sacrifice my 20s being a mother. I think it's hell for a woman to try to find when the best age is to have a child. I was in my late 20s so who knows what that means.
