Also his First Amendment rights because he exercised his freedom of speech right not to speak (which sounds counterintutive but is actually stare decisis in this field).

now you’re on to something...

oh for christ’s sake, it’s a made up name. you just keep citing different locations where he uses his made up name.

but how do you know that’s not a made up name

how do you know that’s not a made up name

while you’re doxxing former Deadspin commenters can you tell me what Iron Mike Gallego’s real name is, i need to ask him what rolex goes best with my porsche

my brother is a lawyer and he says this will probably be overturned because of all the many Freedom of Speech issues raised by literally tearing up a law

Yuki Kawauchi is definitely a professional runner.

Actually he split 13:01 from mile 9.3 to mile 12.4.

“That’s just really difficult to take seriously, like .5km is somehow meaningful,” says Cheryl Cooky, associate professor of American Studies at Purdue University

It’s just weird that you would refer to an activity as much easier than the one you participate in, while admitting that you couldn’t come close to performing that activity.

I’m curious: how far do you think you could run at 5:30/mile pace without collapsing?

I’m not sure you understand the concept of “work”. Doing more things does not equal “more work”. Someone above posted a link to calorie burn for various activities, and it shows that running at a 5:30/mile pace burns more calories than XC skiing uphill. So yes, running fast is more work than XC skiing.

The flaw in your thinking is that you’re thinking of your basic level of jogging when you think about running. I agree that jogging is quite easy. But no good runner is jogging a marathon. Good marathoners are running for two hours at a very fast pace, with a HR in the 180s. That’s not an innate feeling.

Did you even click on that link? It says that running at a 5:30/mile pace burns more calories than XC skiing uphill — and marathoners run much faster than that!

I’m trying to figure out where you think I said the marathon is the hardest sport. But anyway, it’s hard! And so are these other things! When fit people push themselves for an hour or three, it hurts! Walkers shit themselves, runners shit themselves, skiers fall down (probably because they’re in snow, just pointing

“Steady aerobic work for the legs”. That’s a good one. Elites run the marathon at 4:40/mile pace. Even an amateur like me runs it at 6:45/mile pace. This guy can come stroll with me any time and see when in the race he stops to throw up.

i’m going out on a limb and guessing old Bill here has never raced a marathon all out.

When I asked Sims why it’s more difficult than, say, marathon running or cycling or triathlon, she hammered the same point: You’re pushing everything your body has to offer to the absolute limit.

I’ll believe Andrew Luck is healthy when I see him play, and maybe not even then
