We had one of these as a rental car in Ireland recently, it was a 5 speed diesel. I was amazed how much I liked it.

Bring back Tiff

The Nav screen that looks like an iPad glued to the dash. Im looking at you Mercedes and Mazda

Is that color as ugly in person as it is in pictures?

I was also at that race, and haven't completely dried out yet either. Ive never had inches of standing water in a backpack before.

Really expensive and really slow, but ok, pretty

Did you really expect Bernie to say something bad about Putin right as all the final small details that can make or break a GP weekend are probably falling into place? He says one bad word and the cars are impounded at the airport or something. I'm not defending Bernie, I'd love to see him go as much as anyone but,

Exactly! No water. We here in the Great Lakes area, are the Saudi Arabia of fresh water

Exactly, one upping is impossible, you have to go kitschy/ironic. Id go for a perfect Chevy Citation x-11

The Porsche 912. With all first gen 911s going batshit, the 912 is getting dragged up too.

I had a 91 Probe GL in highschool and the first half of college, it was a great car. tons of room in side for my 6'5" self and all my worldy possessions moving into and out of dorms. I totaled it when I hit a dear, and replaced it with.....a 95 Probe GT. That car was a lot of fun, also very roomy for being a small

I'm a large 6'5", Ive had 2 Nissan Maximas, a 99 and an 09, they both were very roomy in the front seat, and you can fit a short person behind for short in town trips. We had to dump the 09 Maxima because it wasn't roomy enough for me, my tallish wife and a baby car seat. So we have '12 Ford edge now, which is huge

The Chicago area decided to have just one massive fucking crash yesterday, it was horrific.

Wow, I see the TSSC has events at the Sears Center, thats 20 min north of me, thanks for that reference.

I unfortunately don't have a car I'd even think about doing this with. We have a Ford Edge that hauls my infant son around and a high milage, very worn out Regal GS. But I have always wanted to do it and will hopefully just go and watch and maybe meet some cool car people.

Anybody have a recommended place to find where and when an Autocross might be running near you? Limerock is a little too far from the Chicagoland

What is your Porsche White Whale?

I always claimed that if I had to live in Chicago, I would drive a Wrangler. Small, tight turning circle, handles pot holes, big bumpers to take parallel parking via feel and sit high so you can see in traffic. Bad mpg is a killer though.

Agreed, I will watch just about any "car" show on TV if it focus' on the cars, and the build. The fake scripted drama and tension are just infuriating on this show. I might try to DVR and see if I can fast forward through any bit that doesn't have a car on screen. probably be able to watch it in 10 min.
