Exactly. AMC showing just the Hollywood blockbusters won't cut it... but if so-called art-house theaters were on board that cycle through movies on a weekly basis, and/or showing a lot of reruns, foreign films, indie films, etc., then it could be really fun. I could certainly do a movie a week in such a case.

And finally, this was a river confluence in Wyoming, to the southeast of Jackson.

It's really cool as one side of a set of tracks is normal, and the other side is red :)

Or a part of the Great Salt Lake in Utah that is nice and red?

How about "Aoike (Blue Lake)" in Hokkaido, Japan?

Let's redo JM right, so that we can get Gibson to sign off on the Neuromancer trilogy.

Some great candidates you guys got. I actually asked Duncan Jones straight-up on Twitter "You think you should direct BR2?" and he replied "Not my decision to make" :D I'd also be interested in seeing his vision. Innaritu, Cuaron, Blomkamp, all good names. Refn hadn't occurred to me, though! Very interesting

Exactly. The (in)famous Maya(n) calendar's (Long Count) start date is Aug. 11th(ish), 3114 B.C. Doesn't mean the calendar was devised on that date, and indeed pretty much all archaeologists agree that the calendar was devised a good 2500 years later.

I'm thinking about all the directors out there. The obvious one, Nolan, doesn't feel right. As much as I admire him above all other out there, he's too much of... I dunno, Nolan. I dunno... jeez. Maybe Aronofsky. Maybe Del Toro.

Here in Boston, it started out at the "artsy" theater, the Kendall Square Cinema, but then it soon got picked up by a big Loews, and now another artsy cinema Coolidge Corner Theatre. I'm guessing it's getting a buzz :D

It's an easy measure LOL. I too like Starbucks.

In the mean time, if you've already seen Biutiful, grab that $10 you were gonna spend on a couple of Starbucks lattes, and run to the theaters to watch Birdman now. Might not be his best film ever, but still a wonderfully crafted piece of cinema worth those dollars more than most of the movies people would be

I would've said Ron Fricke.

Me, too. I just bought the previous generation Bekant just a month or two ago :(

"...the results aren't always dead-ends like the Kin" Umm, how do we know if this isn't another dead-end? I mean, yeah, kinda cool, might get places... but I had the same impression about the Kin, too.

Neon Rain. That is a great Sci-Fi title.

Just fucking call it Nexus 5.9. Problem solved.

I'd concur; my point is that the current "speed limits" will have little bearing in a future where all cars are autonomous, and that, on average, traveling speeds on all roads will increase.
