@cdenmon: Hmmm. I don't know about this. Exactly what would be the charges?

@hiddencountry: Your point may be valid if your assumption about him and his tickets are true. But we don't know that, so you deciding to look at it as an icky situation is no better than people looking at him like a hero.

@twophrasebark: I'll take you up on the bet. Like Tarv says, the $600 must have been just $5-$10 above the maximum bid of the second highest bidder. That's how Ebay works.

I've been going to Belize pretty much every year since 2003 and I've been secretly hoping I'd get a botfly infection one of these days to do this very thing, but haven't been so lucky yet. I'm back down there in January, so we'll see

It works, but try doing anything with large numbers for the digits, like 38 * 99. It will take you longer to count the intersections that for you to do simple multiplication the normal way. The reason why it works has been explained already I presume :-)

@bawheid: Yeah. I clearly remember all the bitching from people who wanted it oriented the other way, and the glee that welcomed the new orientation with one of the Powerbooks (forget which one it was). Steve even made a special note of it during the keynote.

@bawheid: You realize that Apple responded to the overwhelming majority of *users* who wanted the Apple logo oriented the other way around, right?

@ElimGarak: True, and I believe the similarities in the numbers themselves are coincidental, and superfluous. The important point is how the percentage of correct answers increased in a similar way, under similar conditions (with a similar rate of increase).

@siwex80: I understand how it could be problematic if they sold it as a specifically "MacBook Air upgrade part". My question is, couldn't they just sell it as a generic SSD chip, that just so happens to be able to be used in the MBA?

Hmmm, I don't understand. On what grounds can Apple request this? Can't they not even ship the SSDs for PCs?

@99TelepodProblems: No, what's strange is that.. it's not just you... mwahahahaha

@Josh_Raby: You need to split up, my friend.

I'm not going to question the authenticity of this guy. Even if he didn't really work at an Apple Store, he'd probably feel the same way about working there if he did.

@tundraboy: Not a good analogy, because we all know how evil Walmart is :-D

@terminalraptor: I'll set the record straight. I know some of the original creators (script writer Dai Sato, director Shinichiro Watanabe, producer Masahikio Minami) and I interviewed them about the show months before it aired.

@Megazone33: Hey there, Bishop Won Dai!! :-D Or.. should I call you Shogo?

While I love me my Sharon Apple from Macross Plus, people really need to talk about Eve Tokimatsuri from Megazone 23 (1985) when referencing old anime virtual idols.

@99TelepodProblems: Except when Idoru came out, there already was a prototype, which I find interesting that few people mention when it comes to discussions on this topic (while many people will go to Sharon Apple of Macross Plus): Eve Tokimatsuri from Megazone 23, circa. 1985.
