I think most court room shows aren’t actual small claims courts, but are extra-judicial mediation sessions set up to look like a court. Also, court shows usually only host people seeking under $5k because the show pays any amount awarded (taken from appearance fees maybe?).

#OpenHouse and #IkWilHelpen, according to Buzzfeed.

It’s adorable. Reminds me of my first baby pictures with my dad when they picked me up from the hospital (I was adopted). My dad is holding me under his chin with a look of “Oh God, please do not let me drop this baby in front of the hospital that just gave her to me” written across his face.

You can do it! In the past few years I’ve lost and kept off a significant amount of weight, closing in on 100lbs lost and approaching maintenance (stomach was first to come and will be last to leave though). Be patient with yourself and love yourself through it!

Disagree. I have a terrible time trying to find clothes that fit well, because I carry my weight in my belly. Pants big enough around are baggy in the ass and thighs in an awful way. Shirts that fit my shoulders and chest are too tight in the stomach area. Other friends that are especially hippy or large busted have

Holy shit.

This is why Chipotle doesn’t care if you fill your water cup with pop. They already ate the expense by giving you a free water cup. Also, (not sure of the complete veracity of this) I think Coca-Cola pays restaurants and colleges and such to stock Coke instead of Pepsi.

Their rices do too!

I know what it tastes like, but can’t describe the taste other than “bay leaf.” Try cooking some rice with a bit of salt, olive oil, and a bay leaf or two. Adds a little extra something to flavor.

This was me right through college. I thought equality for women had been achieved, after all, I was in college, wearing pants, voting in elections, and told I could pursue any career or life I wanted. Then, the day before I graduated college, as I was purchasing my first car, I got smacked in the face with sexism when

I live in Ohio, which is peppered with Amish and Mennonite communities, and I always feel a twinge of shame when I see women all covered up in the summer while it’s 105 degrees and I’m rocking short shorts and tank tops. I also always try to be extra extra nice and polite so they won’t use me as an example of slutty

I live in my fiance’s deceased grandfather’s house, with my fiance, two dogs, and my fiance’s deceased grandfather and potentially another spirit. Just last night my dog sat up on the couch and started barking and growling at the ceiling, looking from the fan in the center of the room to the kitchen door with all his

I do the Kit Kat thing. I love lasagna, but I eat it in layers. I used to eat pizza in layers too (toppings, then cheese, then sauce, then crust) but that weirded people out too much so I forced myself to stop. I always eat the chocolate off Reese’s then shape the peanut butter into a cube and eat it in tiny bites,

YES It’s Saturday!
Awesome news is I got my dream job this week! But that’s not what I need to talk about. I’ve been having serious doubts about my fiance our relationship. We’ve been engaged almost a year and have lived together for three. There are some things, like distribution of labor around the house and

I thought this was common so fans can’t broadcast the events?

There are Sudeten Germans, who are ethnic Germans who live in what’s now the Czech Republic.

I studied abroad in Germany, didn’t have a great relationship with my roommates (lots of cultural difference between a 20 year old American and 28 year old Germans). I had friends, but no one really keeping track of me like close friends and family do. I also battle depression and anxiety. I started eating less and

It’s getting better for me and it feels like such a weight off my shoulders. I struggled heavily with depression in middle and high school, then had a fantastic time in college, studied abroad, thought I was reaching my dreams, and it all came crashing down with the economy. For the past few years I’ve been steadily

I’m so late to this party, and this story will be rushed because I’m supposed to be headed out the door to work right now, but I have a bug story!

I learned that in English our words for food are often etymologically French, while the animals the foods come from are German. The nobility who spoke French were doing most of the fine dining, whereas the peasants raising the animals spoke a language closer to German. Hence we have pork (porc) and beef (boeuf) but
