I seriously feel like this was another case of the Oscars holding a pity party. They do this with PWD all the time. They write versions of us that are basically a series of stereotypes meant to be pitied or serve as inspiration porn (e.g. Forrest Gump, Rainmain, etc), and then reward whatever able-bodied person they

Has Tyler Perry made anything worthwhile? So far I've pretty much hated everything he's done via Medea or that horrible show on OWN.

Lupita's speech... I'm bawling my eyes out right now.

For the first question - do not make eye contact with the children. Make your space as uninviting as possible. Don't give them anything except for glaring looks. And absolutely keep redirecting them to their parents.

Sorry to blow the scoop, but there have been quite a few people who have done this, and not surprisingly if they keep it up very long they die. Instead of it being a bit of gossip about the crazy girl in the crazy cult, it would be useful to see it for what it is — rationalization for anorexia because of our

As to the thalidomide point, yes, sometimes mistakes are made, but in this case (a) the thalidomide problem was reported less than a year after being administered to pregnant women, and promptly removed as a treatment for them, and (b) it's like saying the Hindenberg blew up so we shouldn't ever fly in airplanes.

Thank you for posting that, because it lets me post this as a response for the second time in a week.

Scientific validation / invalidation is great and all or you could just let Penn and Teller destroy them. The latter is much more entertaining.
