With a few exceptions, Batman is always the least interesting character in his own stories. The Dark Knight was really the story of Harvey Dent, with Joker as his villain, and Batman is just there as a plot facilitator.

Plus, the ending glosses over the fact that Batman just killed someone, despite so many earlier scenes stressing that as something he’s refusing to do. Like, you could have made a powerful moment out of Batman finally crossing the line, but the movie doesn’t seem to pay any attention to that fact.

Though he does mention missing his mom’s back surgery because he had already promised his landlord’s nephew to help him with his new phone.

I don’t really see what’s political about this episode. That news websites post clickbait headlines with little, if any, connection to the truth, but lots of people will treat what they say as absolute truth . . . may be social commentary, but not necessarily political, nor all that controversial.

Which would mean catching Cicada would fundamentally change Nora’s future.

Probably a support beam, putting in by an architect or contractor who was in a hurry to get the place up to code, and didn’t really have time to worry about aesthetics.

Could just be he hurt his back or something, so he can be on set and read his lines just fine, so long as he doesn’t have to move around any.

Yeah, Nora and William should totally hook up!  ;)

I don’t think he’s being written off the show; I think they’re trying to expand the show’s scope so that it covers characters both on the Waverider and at the Time Bureau (since, as of this season, Ava is main cast member as well).

I dunno, it seems like any alien with any sort of screentime is shown to have superpowers. Even Lyra (who I’m pretty sure is from the same species as that girl in Ben’s class) was shown crushing a padlock with her bare hands (she also doesn’t show up on video, though that can be both a strength and a weakness,

I dunno, Bortles? That’s gotta be an alien name.

But there is something to be said for different power dynamics changing a situation. The United States is currently the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the world, while most of the people trying to immigrate here come from much less privileged circumstances. Even the extremists who want to plant bombs or hijack

Question: is Fethry an ACTUAL cuckoo bird? If not, that seems like a hell of a missed opportunity.

They have the only key that opens the door between the Afterlife and Earth, which cannot be duplicated. Theoretically, as long as they keep it with them on Earth, no one from the Afterlife can cross over or do anything.

Well, Tahani’s parents are dead, so kinda too late on that front; here she’s making a go at redeeming her sister.

He was going specifically after Vibe because he got a lead on how to find him thanks to those pictures of Joe. After seemingly killing Vibe, it did look like he was going to go after Barry next, but then he realized he was bleeding and decided it was time to retreat.

I’m kinda hoping we do get a Ralph/Caitlin romance, though. Just so that, when Caitlin gets her Killer Frost powers back, there’s a scene where she and Ralph kiss, and Ralph’s lips get frozen to Caitlin’s, so when he tries to pull away they just stretch out like silly putty.

You’re assuming the person who gave Nora the idea to change the past isn’t ALSO Cicada.

And given how he scratched himself with a peacock feather after being cancelled by NBC, we know he likes a good meta joke.

I could see Supergirl portraying Mongul as a Trump analogue, running Warworld like a giant reality show.
