They ought to do like The Princess Bride (the book), where you get the big happy ending, then there’s a pause, and a warning that if you want that happy ending, you should stop now ... and THEN cut back to everything going wrong in under thirty seconds.

Even Season 4's would work as an off-beat series finale.

Well, except the height.

The word “narcissist” to describe anyone who’s incredibly vain (especially about their appearance) goes back centuries/millennia, long before anyone named a mental disorder after it.

Those stats can’t be right. I just looked up the homicide rate for England and Wales on a UK government website, and it says it’s 1.2 per 100,000 people. So 3.2 per 100,000 for Midsomer is higher than average, but not 278 times higher.

It’s the phrasing. “A man went to the moon” is someone making an active choice to go to the moon, but “We put a man on the moon” sounds like someone was placed on the moon by other people, regardless of their own volition.

I think most of the cast live elsewhere and just travel to Vancouver for production.

Gwynn was supposed to die when he first activated his time machine, so yeah, he no longer has a role in the timeline that he needs to get back to.

Thawne looks like Cavanagh on The Flash because he likes messing with Barry. Barry’s barely spent time with Letscher Thawne, but he spent months being mentored by the kindly “Dr. Wells”, so putting that face on again lets Thawne stick it to his archenemy that much more.

Seems like Astra’s the one Mean Gideon had to do the least tinkering with to get into ruthless enforcer mode. Makes sense.

Easily “Mystery Spot” from Supernatural.

They save that for the “For Our Consideration” pieces.

Remember when beacon-of-wholesome-goodness Ray Palmer shrunk down to the size of a bullet and flew through a guy’s chest?

Yeah, we’ve seen that Nora can change her Fairy Godmother outfit to something more casual, but it will still keep the same color scheme.

My thing is just, is it supposed to be pronounced like Lateenks, like Latin-X, or is the x silent, so it’s pronounced like Latin?

Why not use Latin American? It means the same thing, is also gender neutral, but has the advantage of an agreed upon pronunciation.

Ford produced five hundred bombers a month, but they also had much larger factories employing hundreds of people. This one had a few dozen people, and from what we saw, doesn’t seem to have room to work on more than one plane at a time.

Oh, sweet summer child, believing Kara gives a moment’s thought to her parents once they’re out of her sight. She found out her mom was alive back in Season 3, and by all appearances, has had zero contact with her since then.

No, they just said that Game of Thrones proved fantasy adaptations didn’t HAVE to be a catastrophe. That’s what pissed off so many people: it didn’t HAVE to end on such sour note, but did so anyway.

I’m expecting the season to end with the Legends fighting a team of evil robot Legends.
