While I agree that ‘grilling’ and ‘barbeque’ are two completely different things, ‘cookout’ is so generic that no one group gets to claim it.

It’s long past time for tipping to be common. In states where tipped employees are allowed to be paid less than minimum wage the laws need to change. In states where everyone is paid at least minimum wage, tipping should stop, unless truly warranted by the level of service provided by the employee.
