She had one hellofa run. 96 years old and 70 of those were as Queen.

He along with Sir Ben Kingsley, Sir Patrick Stewart, and Dame Helen Mirren are from a glorious time in the Royal Shakespeare Company.  It was a period that produced so many wonderful dramatic actors.

Doubtful.  Routes are in part based upon population density.  Perhaps in time a route that gets closer to my house will happen.

Tipping as an obligation needs to die, but that’s a whole different article.

Oops.

One can go the ‘extra mile’ and still stay within normal work hours and have a clear separation of work and personal life.

Buy a used fuel sipper. Lower your budget to $20K and bank the rest as a down payment for your retirement car. I rented a Hyundai Elantra one time, I got 46 mpg on the interstate. I was blown away.

You can’t buy a street legal electric golf cart for $10,000 new.

I bet it won’t pass US safety requirements.

Most transit systems already have a monthly pass.  Sure, if they have an annual pass already as an option, hand out those, especially to the the under 18 crowd.

Oooo, I’m going to start using this.  I’m applying for jobs that won’t use my full skill set because I want lower stress and my income needs are smaller now.  When hired, I will ‘act my wage’.

I’ve also heard it called “working to the contract”.

Few get promotions within their own organization anymore. Most people advance in their careers by getting a new job at a new company. You end up shedding most of your baggage from your last job and get a fairly clean slate to establish a newer history of excellence. Which you can use to move on to the next job.

I like the idea and the principle behind it. However, I think a better idea would be to give out bus passes based upon need. If you’re below a certain income threshold (say you earn less than 1.5x minimum wage in your area) you get a free monthly bus pass and have to submit simple paperwork once a year to renew your

I live in a small mostly rural county in WA.  Our bus system is fare free.  The powers that be looked into adding the infrastructure to collect fares and decided that the expense wasn’t worth the fare revenue.  I think they made the wrong decision.  It’s too bad that I have to walk two or so miles to get to the

Yeah, I think my statement covers that. If they’re getting their news from a news source, regardless of path, they’re getting it from a news source. It’s the various friends and friends of friends who post something from any random site or that they ‘heard’ that are the problem.

Twitter should either shut down for a few months before the election (not going to happen) or filter/remove any and all mentions of the election, candidates, causes, issues, etc. (again, not going to happen).

What I know is that the first one, while a technical marvel/achievement, the story was crap and doesn’t deserve one sequel let alone 4.
