“Lookin’ gooood...”

A classic - and not too much of a hooligan bike, so there shouldn’t be too much temptation to lift the front wheel off the road (the first time my dad rode my brother's Triumph STR, he did just that without intending to, because it had a bit more power than the bikes he used to ride).

You’re most welcome - I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

You’ll be pleased to note then that nowhere in my comment did I suggest that was the case. The owner of LeftHandUtes has implied that others have undertaken conversions in that manner though, given that he notes the quality of his conversions in comparison to “chop and weld jobs”.

When you’re on the road, two wheels on the ground at all times sounds eminently sensible.

That is quite concerning for the residents there. Seems like their government should be going all in on mitigation and adaptation strategies, but I'm guessing that's not the top priority...

Wild is right! I love the technology of F1, and I don’t ride myself, but high-level motorcycle racing is the best kind of racing there is in my opinion - the synergy between rider and machine and the almost superhuman abilities they display are above anything on four wheels.

The irony is that this car is far less monstrous (and far, far safer) than the “legally converted” ones which involved sawing the whole fucking car in half. I certainly know which one I’d prefer to be driving in a crash, and it’s the one assembled by a robot in Elizabeth, not by a bloke with a MIG in Somewheresville,

Oh they’ll be fine. After all Miami is...

Have you considered staging a coup?

$277?

The camaraderie I understand, but having all the drivers in a gated compound insulated from the surrounding poverty and (back at the time of its existence) apartheid is a bit tone-deaf... albeit not exactly out of character for the traveling circus.

For an irreverent Antipodean view, Box of Neutrals is a good listen:

And laws to stop the government-to-lobbyist transition that happens so regularly.

A quick note. Cars and bikes both race at the Macau GP. But *not at the same time*.

I think that the absolute focus on high speed and the remarkable Nordkurve mean that it can’t be considered among the worst circuits. Holding the record for average race speed from 1936 to 1986 is pretty crazy.

Not Caesar’s Palace parking lot or Dallas and its incredible disintegrating track?

“I’m an internet journalist, not a mathematician!”

The 992 GT3 has 500-odd horsepower, and there are threads on Rennlist complaining about how the clutch is just far too light...
