In a lot of applications it changes from opposite-at-low-speed to same-at-high-speed. HICAS (Nissan) and Porsche’s system in the 918 and 991 GT3 and Turbo both come to mind.
It’s disappointing but unsurprising. Just part of living in The Land of the Free.
Almost entirely off topic, but your comment about the pedo tree reminded me of a Harry Potter spoof in the style of Bored of the Rings, where the Whomping Willow was replaced by the Buggering Birch.
Very unlikely. The safety systems in cars now are designed to keep the occupants in place even if they’re unrestrained. Even then, in a frontal crash the occupants will be thrown forward. If the crash was at a high enough speed that the driver ended up in the rear passenger seat, they probably wouldn’t be in a single…
The same could be said of many rich and famous people. The British in general seem to like having a royal family (less so the Scots), so if they’re going to exist then it’s good that some of them occasionally do something useful.
I would think that a driver’s license is required to get your DOT cert too (it’s not like it’s an alternative way of getting a license). My point was more about the low bar you have to clear to get that driver’s license in the first place.
Because it’s not very powerful and it’s as heavy as a bus?
Considering that you have to do little more than be able to fog a mirror to get a normal driver’s licence, it’s not entirely surprising...
Not gonna lie, I started checking prices of Perenties after seeing this. That's a damn cool hearse.
As far as royalty goes, he was more of a force for good than most. Yes, he was a crotchety old grump with a tendency to make off-colour remarks, but his work in conservation was far more useful than anything else a royal has done in the last 70 years.
He’s changed to it "desiging" now ;)
It will be wonderful if he can get back to his peak or near it. And it’s entirely possible - Marc had his big crash at about the same age as another Honda luminary, Mick Doohan. And Mick went on to win the next 5 titles in a row upon his return.
I would have said that his brother was well out of it, but it looks like he had a pretty shitty life.
I'm a tad surprised that he lasted 12 years carrying on like that.
Both examples you’ve given use the phrase “toying with”, rather than “toying over”.
I reckon it’d still put him fifth on the richest parents list, after Stroll, Mazepin, Latifi and Schumi.
Well there you go - I was not aware of that.
Szafnauer has suggested the possiblity of suing the FIA to reinstate the previous rules package, so it seems like AM are at the "desperate measures" stage of the development process.
Lando’s dad isn’t a billionaire, but he apparently retired at 36 after selling his company, and he’s worth around £250M.
