They’re all perfectly reasonable points that still don’t address the central argument that hot hatches are dead as a concept, they’re either short-term issues or more specific to PSA (for example the 208 EV isn’t a dedicated EV platform, so there’s extra weight in there that doesn’t need to be there).
I guess it’s a French issue then. There’s no particular reason that an EV or hybrid hot hatch can’t be built. Assuming people will accept vehicles without 600km of range, a hot hatch EV could be acceptably light, cheap and dynamic.
Peugeot just aren’t trying.
Laguna engine in the Clio, I think.
About the closest we’ve come to that was Webber criticizing the Bahrain race back in 2012, and he still ended up racing:
As an aside, the LC looks even better in the metal - I've seen them in the metallic red and blue, and they look like friggin spaceships.
This was my first thought.
That’s just terribly sad.
508 yes, 3008... not so much.
I’ve heard that boomers aren’t good at interneting, but it’s right at the top of the damn page, dude:
This will be missed by the vast majority of commenters here, Doc...
If you want something that sticks strictly to cars you can buy, I can recommend the automotive section of Consumer Reports.
People have rebadged every generation of Commodore with Chevy badges since at least the VT.
His response is remarkably sanguine. I guess he can't do much about it, so there's not much point in worrying.
That would be the other thing I might add. Though the speed-sensitive volume controls are pretty good now as well.
I’m pretty happy with all physical controls too, but I don’t mind the ability to link my phone to the car.
I think you may have been just a teensy bit too subtle in your sarcasm here...
Between Quartararo seeming to wilt under pressure, the factory team’s dramas with brakes and the engine shenanigans, Yamaha really seemed to throw away a great opportunity to win all three titles.
