Keep an eye out for its debut release next year on PC ;)

I actually prefer Icewind Dale to Baldur's Gate. Way less down time walking back and forth in cities, often doing mundane tasks (which can take hours, I spent more time walking in Baldur's Gate 2 than the entirety of most non-RPGs) and I have always liked the combat from these games.

I think it's important to let people speak their mind, man. Taking away people's words doesn't make anyone feel better.

I would argue the opposite. "Gamers" are not over- the term has been hijacked by infantile, loudmouthed fanboys. Real "gamers" are those of us who grew up with industry, playing Atari, then Nintendo and Sega.

This is one of the reasons I really love Nintendo. They do stuff like this, which is really technically awesome, and totally unnecessary but really adds something awesome to this experience which you would never notice on its own, and they don't run around flapping their gums about their amazing technical

Pretty much. In order to master something, you need to have this unflinching passion and an almost psychotic attitude towards your passion.

THIS is the future of gaming. It's like a smartphone compared to the Hydra's 80's brick cell phone.

Dishonored is free on Steam for the weekend. You might wanna give it a try if you haven't yet! It's good. Download it here.

Quinn's ex released all kinds of private conversations and screenshots in which she admits to cheating on him with five different guys. One of them being Nathan Grayson and the other four being her married boss and three other indie devs.

With Ubisoft, I think it's job security. Because they have continual iterated franchises (Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry) they are able to consistently rotate and ensure their studios are always at work. At least, that's what I've heard.

"Almost None"?!?! What are you talking about?! There are at least 96 games on Steam ALONE that owe their existence to Kickstarter. (And I'm not counting games that are Greenlight either, I mean the actual Steam Store itself) And of those 96, only a handful aren't released yet, but have solid release dates

Can you change the headline to 'Moon Studios' new platformer..'? Microsoft's endless depths of wealth is not creative talent.

Kotaku, why are we not discussing this Zoe Quinn issue? Not for who she fucked, for why a member of your staff (Nathan Grayson) is literally in bed with a game dev.

Edit - I like how I have become a pending poster since making this thread, Keep classy Kotaku.

Which is funny, because it's not like that model is terribly groundbreaking. A lot of them are "games like Tropico/Settlers that are nowhere near as good as Tropico/Settlers." (which one it is depends on whether and how there's a focus on combat. Tropico tends to be a peacemonger's game unless you're deliberately

Clearly a victory condition is worthy of a push-up bra. Defeated nations cannot afford such luxuries.

Entitlement is a word people throw around a lot and I'm not sure they know what it means. Or maybe all the things I mentioned never happen at all and I just took the wrong pills again.
