Stompanato died not long after that movie was filmed...  Coincidence?

One ping only, please.

Eh.... He died at 90, in his sleep, in the Bahamas, at home with family. I am actually happy for him that is how he went out.

He lived to 90. That’s a run I think any of us would be happy with, I think it stings more when someone was taken before full life expectancy.

His greatest feat: Playing every character, regardless of origin, with a Scottish accent.

He was a tough S.O.B. in real life, too. He grew up hard in Edinburgh, and it never really wore off. This is from his obituary on the BBC web site:

Your energy picks up right away as soon as you see him on screen, he had that ability. Such a great role, all those quotable David Mamet lines, and De Palma directing the hell out of that film. The death of Jim Malone, with the score soaring in the background as he choked out those last words

He was the most Scottishy Russian sub captain too....

Trump will be jealous that someone more important is stealing his headlines again.

One last ping, Captain Ramius.

On top of everything else that’s happened this year, indeed ...

Rest in peace, Sir Connery. Sir Sean Connery.

On top of everything that’s happened in 2020 now this...

Han was low key into BDSM and got captured on purpose.

You call that horror?

Now playing

How about this one?  Someone once posted that it really bothered them as a kid.

Oh man, I had a dream last year that my wife and son became Decraniated. It was my first Star Wars themed nightmare. I woke up whimpering.

Interesting that nothing from the new trilogy is here. I agree that those films were mostly disappointing in the scary department, but I still think some credit has to go to the opening scene in the Force Awakens. Also, Han’s death. I mean, you knew he was going to die when he walked toward Kylo -- but, I still held

As a kid, definitely the cave on Dagobah.

1. Han wasn’t being interrogated, remember? IIRC, he told Chewie they didn’t ask any questions. Vader’s point was to create suffering that draws Luke in.
