It’s a term applied to DPF, a filter that traps soot to keep the air clean. When it gets too dirty, it “regenerates” by heating the filter to burn the particles, breaking them into smaller, finer particles.

Yeah, I know. I ain’t paying $25 for a plastic disc. It’s reasonably priced if the movie is obscure and/or foreign. I’m not one of those people who torrent or stream movies. I like to walk into our library and find the movie readily available for viewing.
