Yeah, Stephen Harper's a bit of a dick, but he's not dumb or clown-like. I don't like his policies at all (voted NDP last few elections), but he's not a cartoon character. He reminds me of George H.W. Bush with his pro-military, pro-oil, tough-on-crime agenda.

That line always bothered me, because at a certain point, Charles Foster Kane *does* use a cane. There is a cane in Citizen Kane!

You should read TheVerge coverage of the opening monologue. It might as well be titled "I don't get dry or absurdist comedy". http://www.theverge.com/201…

The lesser-known side stage that the hilarious comedy trio Charlie Kaufman, Roy Andersson, and Yorgos Lanthimos started.

"They published their landmark book. They're famous now."

Not to mention that Harmon's been building up his tolerance every day since he popped out of the womb.

Well, more specifically in *Revenge of the Nerds*, all nerds apparently think about rape. That ending did not age well.

Double cohort, motherfucker.

Side note: quite an interesting title sequence for anybody who speaks Polish. One of the made-up production companies is "Kurwa Films, Inc." Kurwa is a really profane word for "whore" or "bitch" (kind of like "cunt"), but also used as a general exclamation when people are pissed off, like "shit" or "fuck." Not sure

Yeah…I'm going to argue that the Nightly Show is at best mediocre and at worst actually bad.

Really? But nerds are my mortal enemy.

He couldn't even get most of the quotes right. *You're* making the video, Ted…the least you could do is Google the quotes you're going to use to make sure they're not way off.

After watching 5 episodes, it's an enjoyable storyline, though it can't help being didactic as all hell and really, really pushing certain themes. I tend to agree with most of the politics of the film, so it doesn't bother me quite as much as it might others, but it's certainly not subtle with its messages.

I'm also a fan of the similarly evocative David Chen (of /Filmcast) rating system: was it a "good sit" or not?

Do we give them some of their money back?

Dan and Erin you mean? So Pittsburgh is your favorite Harmontown? While I agree that it was very poignant and emotionally resonant in a lot of ways (though fights in my relationships have never been about saying anything quite so harsh), I still wouldn't really place it as my favorite Harmontown episode.

I didn't even think about that, but that's a good point. Why would any of those files have read/write permissions set for an FTP user that's just pulling down the files?

I was expecting a lower score based on those scenes with Seth alone. Richard being dumb enough to make that same mistake twice and not catch the stupid thing he says until Seth blows up in his face is seriously stretching credulity.

GET OUTTA MAH OFFICE!

I tell you, I won't live in a town that robs men of the right to marry their cousins!
