I just watched the monologue on TeamCoco and read that completely differently from you. It was a 7 minute monologue, the first 3-4 minutes of which his audience was almost completely silent. Conan became very self-deprecating at a certain point and somebody yelled "we love you Conan!" to which Conan simply responded

"I think the character needs to grow up and realise he's not living in a tv show."

"Enjoy Larry Wilmore, instead - he is killing it over at Comedy Central."

Plus the shift of southern Democrats during this time (post-WWII to 1960s civil rights era) to the Republican party meant that, in many highly black population centers in the South, Republicans were now actively working against black interests.

Me, too. Great 3 minute, from start to finish.

Then they better bring Dolph Lundgren on.

I love how one of those jurors believed that Durst didn't commit any of the other murders, despite the fact that said juror had no expertise in those other cases at all.

Mr. Durst, don't you worry. I saw an episode of Matlock in a bar last night. The sound was down, but I think I got the gist of it.

Humpday was my introduction to Mark Duplass and I was actually pretty blown away by the film when I first saw it in a theater. This was before I'd even heard of mumblecore and I'd still probably rank it first on my mumblecore movie list.

Yeah, that was a fantastic episode and he definitely seemed to have been at peace with his impending death as much as anybody could hope to be and just wanted to ensure his charitable legacy would continue afterwards. That's a level of bravery about one's own mortality that we should all aspire to.

"Anyway, what I'm saying is that in my few trips to southwestern PA, I saw a surprising amount of stars n' bars bumper stickers. Hillbillies is hillbillies."

Well, he was a francophone. If you can accept Pierre Trudeau instead of "Peter" Trudeau and François Truffaut instead of "Frank" Truffaut, then why not leave Sir Wilfrid Laurier alone?

"Just stay calm and let the gentle currents relax your every muscle."
"Ahhhh….yeah"
"Did it just get warmer?"

"This here's a volcanic vent…the water comes out at over 4000 degrees."
"No kidding…ahhhh."
"Did it just get colder?"

Mmmm…rye smile sounds delicious.

At least he has some speaking lines still (and has always been the same actor), unlike Bobby Draper #4 on Mad Men.

I don't think I watched Jay Leno enough to understand the reference.

The Decalogue doesn't have to do with politics at all though. It's about interpersonal relationships and morality.

To be fair, it's kind of nice to hear somebody call out Chris Hardwick for making every interview about some sci-fi show or video game. Usually guests just kind of go with it, but David Cross didn't…if a joke's just a pop culture reference or analogy (people shit on Family Guy all the time for doing that but that's

This sandwich has too much tuna.
