Not really. For the supernatural stuff to happen (the bomb going off, the Hand of God etc), the mere mortals of the story have to play their part on Earth and complete certain tasks and goals. The higher power stuff can’t happen until then. It’s a common thing in myths and legends all through history.

To be fair: Though different in mechanics, that's how it plays out in the book too.

Have you read The Stand? If you haven’t I could see this adaptation having some entertainment value. If you have read the book and still enjoy it, I’m happy for you.

Couldn’t agree more with this review. What a limp and disappointing conclusion to the main part of The Stand. After last weeks episode which was probably the best of the series (IMO), this is easily the worst for me.
