Agreed. This is so touching, and an honest portrayal of the peace “right-to-die” laws can bring people.

I’m not totally sure, but I think that may be intentional.

I agree. It’s all about finding the right people to have those genuine, soul searching conversations with. You’re one of the good ones. Keep being a good noodle. <3

I am also awkward and messy, especially when I’m trying not to be awkward and messy.

Ships in the night? :)

Not me, sorry. :) While I really love Tangled and Mandy Moore, I didn’t even start this account; I basically co-opted it from a friend of a friend. I wanted an account that wasn’t linked to my email/social media and she wanted to leave Gawker/Jezebel after something controversial happened, so I took it off her hands.

I’ve been able to get them to watch older animated movies, but I’ve yet to get them to bite on live action films. I’ve tried Breakfast at Tiffany’s, but maybe I’ll try Sabrina or Roman Holiday...

SHADE COURT IS BACK AND I AM LOW KEY CRYSQUEALING IN PUBILC.

I am here for this. My nieces won’t watch “old” movies because they’re “boring”. I hope this happens soon so I can enlighten them without losing my Cool Aunt Badge.

Totally agree. And they set the example for younger men, who take advantage of younger women who have been conditioned to accept it, even welcome it. It’s disgusting.

Yep. I was having drinks with friends of mine last night and brought up this thread, and they all concur: You always have to comment on your food, and you’re fucked whatever way you go. The first time I had to sit down for a meal during an interview, my manager gave me the oddest pre-game talk. I don’t remember

I think that it’s the opportunity to get really close to someone; for most of history, food has been a cornerstone of social interaction and cultural identity. Even though Western culture has experienced a sort of alienation from food I think what and how we eat still feels incredibly personal, especially for women

I’m an actress.

Yes, probably. I mean, there are some female journalists who are dickish, but I’ve never had a poor experience with a female journalist that was sexually charged. It’s usually just snide comments and loaded questions.

I haven’t read it, but now I want to!

And don’t think for a second female writers have your back. Most don’t. Not because they’re bad people, but because their industry can be just as misogynistic as the entertainment industry. That’s one of the reasons I love Jezebel so much; I don’t always agree with everything the staff writes- especially if it’s about

I’m sure my stories would be incredibly generic. That’s how it usually is, I think. The frustrating part is that you can’t say anything or ask for another writer because it will definitely compromise your reputation as a “nice girl”. Even the ballsiest of women that I know won’t say anything, because word gets around
