My heart goes out to her. I have actually experienced the same phenomenon of waking up for no reason in the midst of something horrible. I woke up at 2:39 in the morning for no reason at all. Went to my nightstand to grab a book to read, and noticed that my phone- which I had put on silent and off vibrate- said that I

Thank you for this space. I just keep falling in love with you as a journalist more and more.

All of my blood tests and panels have come back normal and I feel okay to donate. However, I do take medications: Wellbutrin and Vyvanse. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can I still donate despite my meds?

Commenting and starring to give you a big ol’ boost. Thank you for sharing your story. Stay safe. I wish you and your county and the LGBT community in your county healing.

JE, you are a good noodle.

I worked with her, too. We were friends- talking pretty often and hanging out when we were in the same town- but not best friends. I’m still obliterated.

Yeah. As someone who knows her and her family:

You’re always a star, though. So “extra starry” was what you meant to say, right?

If the gabapentin didn’t make me so loopy/tired, I’d be sending you cute gifs and eloquent quotes.

Hey! I’m having medical weirdness too! I am mentally bonding with you I hope you’re feeling okay. <3

Quick update for the very few who are curious: I got my test results back, and my CBC, sed rate, ANA, and ASI were all normal. Went to my primary physician and he thinks that my the symptoms in my feet and hands- the dusky purple hues, redness, sensitivity to hot and cold, and prickling- are from an underlying issue

I didn’t know she did that, but you make an excellent point about intersectionality. Thank you!

Wait, really? I heard viewers were bored when she was gone.

I love how they call this show “The Real”, and yet they wont give us a straight answer as to why she was fired. Good job, producers.

Exactly. It’s okay for gay white men and drag queens to co-opt AAVE, and we can laugh at them and enjoy it on television when it’s used in a comedic, almost derogatory context, but when a black woman says the exact same things in the exact same way, it becomes annoying and off-putting? That is peak cultural

That’s such a flawed line of thought, though. Anyone (who knows enough about drag queens to be familiar with their vernacular) should also at least be slightly aware that most of their vocabulary is borrowed from black culture. So if she was fired for being “too much like a drag queen”, then this is really fucked up.

Also, I am in the entertainment business and I have heard secondhand that it could have been because of a new producer or EP who came on and pushed her out, along with a few other people. Is this an actual thing or bullshit?

I can understand why she’s so distraught; I was once betrayed by the people I considered to be my best friends in the world, without any justification or explanation. I still don’t know why they changed so suddenly, as no one ever told me why they thought it was okay. And even though I would never be friends with them

Honestly, I feel like this man’s worst punishment could be to live in solitary confinement with himself. I’m typically against the death penalty and solitary confinement, but my gut reaction was, “Let him hang.” Then I thought about it; whether this guy was somehow broken and became horrid or was just born this way,
