@Benguin, Czar of Whitenoise: I think Apple is competing directly with the Flip and similar small video recording devices. I don't think they care as much about pictures.

@Mike43110: Not necessarily. Instead of managing media on two different devices with two different hard drives, now I can just manage it on one.

@shammah: Also, as a user of a Roku box, this has way more than Roku. Roku doesn't have streaming from computers (or iOS devices) or doesn't let you watch YouTube. Hell, I have a Roku and I want to buy this.

@Time Pilot AKA: You're thinking like a techie. Hey, I have a 360 and a PS3 in my apartment, I have no need for this.

@Mike43110: I'm pretty sure you can purchase stuff on iTunes on your desktop and just have that stream over to the Apple TV.

@gstatty: I think eventually Hulu will get on board. They pretty much have to. I'm hoping it'll just be a firmware update to add Hulu, because I plan on shelling over $99 for this model as soon as the store comes back on.

@Kodros: At least for me, streaming media from my computer is a big thing. For $99, it's hard to find a set box with a nice interface that does streaming video/audio/pictures from my computer, Netflix, and YouTube.

@mricyfire: Add "at a reasonable price" to that list, with that price being $250-300.

@ithyphallus, 13382: Also, wouldn't it be confusing to new gamers when an on-screen prompt asks the user to press a red button or a green button?

@Grive: Yeah, I agree. When a controller already has 2 joysticks, and when most games that use the D-pad only map things to 4 directions anyway, what's the point of having the circular version?

I think J. Crew does better with their mens' collection than this crap here. Frank Muytjens is kinda a visionary in the retail/mall store market.

@Mad_Science: I tried that. After a while, it starts hurting your back to sit like that. Also, "where to put your junk" becomes an issue.

@KamWrex: I do too, which is why I'm reluctant to go the total e-book route and get a Kindle. Sure, Kindle for my iPhone works too, but there's nothing like the feeling of holding a book while going... unless they make the next Kindle water and steam proof.

@Cairn Awaits MizJenkins: That's exactly what I was thinking as I read this too. Sounds like they need to update their orders.

@Joseph Paul Johnston II: And those are the two reasons I view Ars Technica or Engadget's live feed instead.

@Henry Shreffler: I doubt it. But of course we can all look forward to their snarky and biased coverage of the event.

The funniest thing about the "anonymous" letter is that JWoww and Snooki actually believe people are going to think it's anonymous. It's quite obvious who wrote it. The guys seem to have a pact of not "snitching" and the girls on this show are more likely to do this sort of thing anyway (Ronnie might actually suspect

@Aesop's Foibles.: Exactly my line of thinking. Ronnie & Sammi absolutely ruiin this show. They're not entertaining.

@happy macrophage: She did ask him in the middle of the night if he wanted to. So who knows.
