To quote a clever ex, “fuck you and my abandonment issues.”

Yeah, I think that’s just what it feels like for men when things are more equitable :)

what the hell is happening???

Start reading io9, they all quit.

mom pls dont do this

You don’t even know. We picked up my 5 year old son from the hospital when he was two days old. His biological mother had tested positive for drugs throughout her pregnancy and had had 4 children taken away from her previously. He lived with us until he was 1-year old and despite his heavy in utero drug exposure

The good news is that children who have horrible malnutrition experiences like this (though its from crazy things like war, not neglect), seem to thrive very well once they actually get the nutrition they need. I know teenage bodies don’t do as well in similar situations. Point being, I’m optimistic and rooting for

The irony is ain’t no one ask the little boy if he wanted the visits.

I went through this being a foster parent. Her lawyer probably told her that if she acts like she wants to see her kid it will look better for her criminal charges. In my state, as long as the child’s parents haven’t been stripped of their rights, they have 20 days to object to any foster home placement, forcing CPS

Totally agreed. You want to see some shit, look into custody battles.

Had to do a long drive today...listening to various podcasts..

I became an American citizen recently. I was told that I may get a letter or may have to watch a video of him congratulating us but there was none. Apparently they haven’t even managed to write a freaking letter to welcome us as citizens ha ha ha. I even wonder if they know that they are supposed to. They are so

Maybe they did book it . . . and then quietly cancelled the booking on Nov. 8. Imagine you’re a low-level staffer in the State Dept., knowing what was coming down the pipe and having already decided to resign well before the inauguration. Would you be able to resist the temptation to do it?

I’m still trying to figure that one out. Did the Trump staff just assume that was being handled by Germany somehow? Or did literally everyone forget to make sure the president had somewhere to stay? They are there to discuss global solutions to global problems and Trump can’t even figure out how to book a hotel.

Considering how many positions they haven’t bothered filling, I’m not surprised - not to mention the level of incompetence of drumpster & co.

I feel like it had to have been someone in the state department? Delegation rooms should have been booked in 2016 regardless of who POTUS would be. I like to think they were booked in advance and someone decided to cancel the rooms after Trump was elected and no one bothered to check/confirm.

The best part about fucking up on hotel rooms is that we’re talking about someone heavily involved with hotels. Maybe they just assumed that his name in the industry was enough? Maybe they thought that, like L. Ron Hubbard, there is space saved for him wherever he goes, whether he actually goes there or not? I have

The fact that no one booked hotel rooms is AMAZING to me. Like what a perfect representation of how awful this government is.
