Those do sound like significant differences for sure. How many 1.6 vs. 1.8 cars did you test drive or test out a friends before knowing this difference? It sounds like you've owned a bunch of miatas. How often did you autocross them? I would not know the difference on initial turn in with or without a limited slip…

Does the 1.8 make for a better Autox car? I remember months back reading up on the differences of the engine but it slips my mind at the moment.
