Probably because you don't have many Mexicans there for people to be racist against.

Jim Gaffigan does a bit about exactly that.

Yeah, except for the hot burger patty ruining the cool crispness of the lettuce and tomato before you're ready to eat it.

Well, Kent might have had the more advanced asbestos filter, but everyone knows Camel was still the #1 doctor recommended cigarette.

Does this mean that there’s room in the menu now for a return of the McDLT?

GM corporate platforms and muddied brand hierarchy meant that they were grasping at straws for a point of differentiation, and ribbed plastic cladding was an easy visual cue that you were looking at a Pontiac and not a Chevy.

This, the unpainted black plastic is probably the worst part of current MINIs, stylistically. And it turns grey after a few years without garaging.

Odd to see one of those not parked in front of a rundown mobile home and  without faded paint or cloudy headlights.

True, the Aztek might be the very last car model in history that failed on the marketplace almost entirely due to unattractive design. Most people just really don’t care anymore, as long as it has the right badge on the grille and the right number of cup holders, and a big touch screen in the dash.

I don’t care how cheap it is, until Ford demonstrates beyond a reasonable doubt that they have learned how to do what the rest of the world has been doing for decades, namely, painting aluminum without said paint flaking off in sheets after a number of years, I will never buy another one of their products.

Well, he’s not wrong. Also, I would really like it if more cars had screens that could close off the touchscreen when it isn’t in use, so you could have a better looking dashboard. Sort of like hiding a TV behind a painting.

Less ugly, yes, but still fairly ugly. That said, I have to say that the Aztek gets way more attention for its ugliness than is really warranted, considering that there are a number of way, way uglier models that have come out since which haven’t been ingrained in pop culture as the default “ugly car”. Multiple, Rodius

The spire is the most significant architectural feature lost, and it was a 19th century approximation of the original, which had been demolished a few centuries earlier, so not part of the fabric of the original church. It will be tough to replace, as it is an intricate piece of craftsmanship, but at least it wasn’t

I’d say the fake window made of shiny black plastic beats the chrome in the cheap and tacky department.

The chrome isn’t really the problem here, the problem is that its being used to frame a completely fake window.

I’m surprised he hasn’t suggested that it should be rebuilt bigger and taller than before and with lots more chrome, pink granite, smoked mirrors, and gold tinted glass.

The only parts that are a total loss are really the bulk of the roof and the spire (which was a 19th century replacement for the original anyway), I’d say 90% or so of the building is intact.

Sort of, the priests at the cathedral did fire inspections of the attic several times a day. But there was a lot more activity going on up there recently with the renovations, so there certainly is a chance something happened in between checks.

The 5mph bumper standard has been gone for almost 40 years now.

Aren't they kind of also part of the respiratory system?
