Seasons 1 and 2 were excellent in their technical realism, internal consistency, and pacing for dramatic effect. Season 3 is nuking the fridge.

The technical depth is lacking. No discussion of the radiation hazards going to/from Mars or on Mars? This should’ve been a part of the story. Seasons 1 and 2 did more about

I noticed that about the pharmacy stock. The ship should have a doctor and maybe a nurse. They should be the only ones with the keys to those cabinets and be the only one’s dispensing. Just puts someone at risk that may need the uppers for a cardiac emergency. That Helios ship is ran like a zoo. The only people not

Plot twist: Bill turns out to have remarried and his second wife is an unreasonably hot Russian.

Danny was so obviously high out of his mind through the entire episode, I don’t know why he wasn’t just sent to Phoenix right away. Ed knew he was high, and 5 minutes of investigation would show that Danny stole the pills, so why was he kept on the surface where every little mistake can lead to everyone dying? It's

Did anyone else hope that Danny was going to take an overdose of pills in the bathroom or was that just me?

It’s pretty clear what’s going to happen. Danny and Ed are gonna get stuck in Hab1 because of the Marsquake. Danny is going to have to go cold turkey and Ed’s injuries are going to be more severe than they

One thing I do want to give them credit for is not having Aleida’s mental string wall detour through Bill. I thought for sure that was where they were going. Even the way they framed her looking at the org chart it’s focused on Margo but Bill is just off to the side; a lesser show would have used that as a fake out.

This season’s dialogue is all telling, no showing. Too many subplots/characters, not enough room for things to just breathe--which used to be something the show was surprisingly good at, even if it’s always been a little busy on the plotting side of things.

Battle of hairstylists for the Emmy—-BCS vs SNW.

Wrong, just wrong. Rewatch the episode if need be, Jimmy chickened out on stealing the first guy's badge, they clearly show the badge was there when he grabs the manual and Jimmy even apologizes to Sunny for not grabbing it. Jimmy off screen manages to grab Rossi's badge which they clearly show.

Yeah, that too, it was in season 2. Her “older Margo” wig is terrible, BTW.

Agreed. I think it’s the worst episode of the series, most for the Danny stuff. And last week’s was pretty good!

Not only that, but Wrenn Schmidt obviously played Kate the Jennings’ handler in season 3(?). So she should have a better grasp on KGB tactics.

Any episode where Stevens kids get more than 20 seconds between them in total automatically starts at B-.

Perhaps the reason there have been so many fatalities in this timeline, from the moon landings to the current Mars fiasco, has been due to the willingness of NASA (as well as the USSR & the gazillion dollar Helios Corp.) to hand the keys to some very sophisticated spaceships to a bunch of drunks.

She did it a third time. With the Kettlemans.

That scene for me achieves what the best cinema does: tells a story clear enough to follow even without audio.

I feel like when the sommalier talked about the ‘note of blood’ in the wine’s palate, that’s snapped Gus out of being able to dream about having a true connection with somebody, and right back into the reality of his life. He'd already been down that path once with tragic results, and cut it off immediately.

I mean, if anyone would be tolerant of the show’s excesses, it’d be a Gene Wolfe fan...

wait are you telling me that Charlotte is trying to get INFORMATION from Dolores?
