I wouldn't consider myself a fanboy (I only played MGS1 and the one with Raiden on the oil rig [ugh]) and as I understand it the plot got waaay convoluted. Still loved the first one, and these look great, so I'll probably get them. But I don't like the idea of this becoming a trend.
