Charles has served in every branch of the British Military and has seen combat. As has Prince Andrew, his brother during the falklands and Prince Harry who was famously in Afghanistan. Say what you will, but those medals are as deserving as anyone else who wears them.

Everyone in the British royal family serves in the military at some point. Charles was in the Navy. Even Elizabeth was a mechanic during WW2.

William has helped save people in the ocean with his helicopter outfit, and Harry served in Afghanastan! They aren’t all fake military, I think just Charles is at this point. (Prince Phillip was on a boat at least once during WW2.)
