Was watching the football game last night... got the push notification about Ken about thirty minutes after the hit.  All I could think is “WHAT is going ON!”.  This came on the heels of one of my coworkers passing away in a snowmobile accident two days ago.  Ugh...

The fact that ORD and DEN factored into this so significantly belies the whole “point-to-point” component simply because those are two of their larger operations. Every airline, even those that do hub and spoke still have planes at outstations, and when a hub melts down, people and planes get stuck elsewhere.
