New engine rant:

Did I actually miss the part where you are describing the way this car drive ?!? (beside one sentence). Not trying to be mean but this article is like reading a spec sheet, I did not really learn anything I already knew.

or 2 dozen Biden eggs...

Adjusted for inflation that’s eleventy kabillion dollars in today’s money.

Also looks like the perp didn’t know the first thing about driving a boat... specifically that you NEVER want your boat to get hit from the side by a big wave. You always want to point into a wave and power your way through it.

Coastie rescue swimmer - legit. the video makes it appear the perp had low survival odds.

Leaving a fish on the doorstep of the goonies house for comedy. Is this Canadian mischief? Because thats lame as fuck.

The coolest thing I learned from this story was from the Wiki page about the Columbia Bar. Seems those waters are VERY dangerous. Called the Graveyard of the Pacific

Florida man would’ve done all of this tweaked out and naked, possibly with some sexy time with that fish.

It seems that Florida Man can show up anywhere....

Well, let’s just call it a rough landing then.

I also feel like the “most satisfying” picks were cars you buy on purpose. If you’re buying a BRZ you woke up that morning and drove to the subaru dealer specifically to buy a BRZ. If you’re buying a Kia Rio or an Altima you rolled up the dealership looking for a relatively inexpensive way to drive to work.

What do most of these have in common? They have CVT transmissions which IMHO sucks all of the joy out of driving. The Nissans in particular because their CVTs tend to self destruct at around the 50k mark

Wow, if only there were a practical alternative to the compact SUV that wouldn’t suck to drive and had just as much space?

It seems very much that small SUVs are disappointing. You think you’re getting an SUV, but you’re really getting a compromise machine. To make it seem like an SUV, they get rid of the sedan advantages like lower price and better gas mileage. It’s almost like people with any sense don’t buy tiny SUVs expecting them not

Not surprised to see the Kia Forte on the list. I’ve been given a few as rentals, and they just felt... subpar? Just like appliances cars with blah interiors. Not bad or aggressively cheap per se, but, as one of my senior year professors was fond of saying: “this is not design.” And an engine that sounds like it is

Children are easily created by unskilled labor.

“You can keep her - we’ll make another one.”

I’ve flown plenty of times with my kids since they were newborns. They always have been great. If a kid is acting like a little shit head it's probably because their parents don't give a shit and planned poorly.

Or revert back to stock car bodies? I mean, driving at 150mph in heated/ventilated leather seats listening to AC/DC would be much nicer....
