The course I was hucking it around was not made for full size sedans. I also had done extensive work to mine up to this point but yeah I was handicapped in some of the tighter turns that the civics/tegs just flew through.

So you’re not denying that VW’s are unreliable and expensive to maintain out of warranty? Also most tunes etc are easily reversable and bolt on upgrades can be removed in case of an issue. I’m not talking about yanking the engine and completely redoing it. I’m talking about simple things that may not void the warranty…

My last Prelude was a 94 with 228k when I sold it. It has 240k on it now and I keep bugging him to sell it back to me. Side note, never sell a car you loved and bled for to a friend cause you will be reminded of that pain every time you see it.

Similar experience was taking my 2008 Acura TL-S to an autocross event and entering in the Honda category... It. Was. Hilarious. The 200hp number doesn’t matter because will simple bolt-ons and a tune from HonData you will be above GTI numbers for less that 2k. My friend has a 2019 Si and that thing is a riot with this set up. 10/10 want one to daily.

Been running Ryobi’s 40v stuff for years now and it’s great. I’ve only had one battery go bad and my local Batteries Plus store fixed it for under $100 (way cheaper than a new one). We have the 20" mower, weed whacker(with edger attachment), leaf blower, and chainsaw. Great investment and no more premix for me!
