I literally did not know this.

Yeah, agree. Trump is one of those guys who doesn’t get stressed out or anxious and doesn’t have high blood pressure even though he should. I think he sleeps like a baby at night, with hundreds of court cases hanging over his head and tons of unresolved conflicts floating about. He’s the guy who makes everyone else

Yeah, I knew it would mostly be a waste, but I’m listening anyway. Thus far, I think there’s only been one GOP representative who has asked sensible, insightful questions in good faith (I can’t recall his name).

The thing that angers me the most is that these arguments are proffered entirely in bad faith. They appear to have no concern whatsoever for doing their fucking jobs and asking Mueller legitimate questions germane to the investigation.

Headgear reduces the chances of injuries like a skull fracture, broken jaw, broken nose (if you’re wearing a facesaver), and cuts and bruises.

The one thing Trump never lied about: his stamina. This guy has not let up a goddamn second since he took office. And he’s aged me in fuckin’ dog years.

First: thank you for your service.

Absolutely. Fair point(s).

Boxing has always been the sport for poor kids, irrespective of racial demographic. Jewish fighters, for example, were quite prolific in boxing in the ’30s and ’40s. Irish, Italians, etc. It’s a marginalized sport precisely because of the brutality. It’s often one of the few ways out of the impoverished areas from

That’s fair enough.

I’m not sure if you’re asking this in good faith, or just taking a shit on me. I don’t think a life of brain damage is the best outcome—rather, it’s one of the worst possible outcomes.

Headgear can actually cause more damage than good. It’s the repeated sub-concussive blows that accumulate and can be bad news. In fact, I think they just removed headgear from amateur competition, though that may be a state-to-state thing.

Ah, okay. Damn.

Absolute fucking tragedy. God, I really hate/love this sport and I feel terrible watching it. Just brutal.

Thinking the same thing. But maybe being behind/against the cooler somehow kept his body cold and not allowing the rank odor out? No idea.

I thought there was an active shooter at/around the base where they were set to land. No?

A great Kolsch if you live in/near Washington, DC, is Hellbender’s Bare Bones Kolsch. Really tasty and perfectly crisp and refreshing.

Ha, yep.

Accepted forms of language change and evolve over time. Using “data” as both plural and singular forms is very close to the norm at this point. There are a number of reputable style guides that currently accept it as both singular and plural (Chicago Manual of Style, for example). There are also situations where other

“Data” is a tricky one. Garner’s Modern American Usage notes that it’s a skunked term these days. The last several decades has seen the rise of “data” as a mass noun taking a singular verb. The true singular (“datum”) really isn’t used much anymore in nonscientific contexts.
