Crazy theory I’ll throw out there (without anything to back it up): Bannon cut a deal with Mueller early on. This would explain how he’s been on record as working with Stone to get WikiLeaks stuff without himself catching an indictment.

I keep saying this to my friends as well (re: movie). There’s no chance I’ll be able to remember all this shit and tell my grandkids about it. They’ll be reading about it in the history books, of course, but we need a full season of some docu-drama or whatever to really capture the day-to-day madness we’ve experienced…

Thinking on this further...why wouldn’t Stone have destroyed any potentially incriminating evidence long ago? He strikes me as the type of guy (like Cohen) who keeps damning info on people in his orbit for future use.

I pretty much agree with you. Trump will throw anyone under the bus to save himself and it wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t dole out pardons.

The more likely explanation is that Phillips saw like a hundred people decked out in MAGA regalia (the de facto racist gear) beefing with like 4-5 guys. He read the tea leaves and decided to disrupt things, and also to stand in front of the MAGA crowd and confront them (in a peaceful manner, singing songs).
