Honestly, I could totally see that. Between the necessary healthcare and food, it could easily cost that much. Hell, I'd be impressed if you could consistently bring the cost per person down to $4 a meal. That'd still cost $252 a day.

That's rather absurd...

Out of curiosity, how do you support such a large family without some kind of government aid? My wife is the oldest 9, and her family spends a crazy amount of money on food. At the peak of it, they were getting a little over $1,000 in food stamps to cover all the kids. And trust me, that wasn't anywhere near

Fair enough, sorry to jump at you like that.

Would it really be that easy to fabricate? I mean the printouts could be fabricated pretty easily, but it seems like the actual digital records would be much more difficult.

That's hilarious. I do things like that on test servers too... So long as there's steps to make sure it never his production, who gives a crap?

Usually there's a timetable they have to keep with that. In Oregon, the landlord must return the deposit within 31 days.

I had a really crappy experience a while ago with a landlord and the advice I got from a lawyer was that every conversation needs to be in writing. If possible, do as much communication as possible through email. Then you have an indisputable record that includes times and dates.

I agree. I definitely wish I could get my classmates to use it properly!

A single time is too many. Think of it less of as anonymous and more of the internet as a whole. That kind of vigilantism is no better than the police. Sure they might have no caused disaster yet, but it could do so fairly easily without any kind of checks and balances.

I'm not sure I would go so far as "any period of time", but a few hours home alone with neighbors nearby and a working phone. Yeah, what's the big deal?

I'd sue the police department too. Why are they giving out documents/videos that have her home address and SSN in them? Shouldn't this be confidential (at a minimum) up to the trial? There's no way this kind of thing could ever influence a jury...

The probably didn't watch the video clip and just uploaded it. Leaving that point to rest for a moment... How the hell did they get that clip? I'm all for transparency in the police department, but shouldn't that kind of shit be confidential? Especially pending trial?

I had a dumb phone when I was that age. My after school actives kept me separated from my parents for pretty long extended periods of time and they wanted to be able to reach me at pretty much all times. I didn't get texting until I was 16, and I got a smartphone in college, but I could call as much as I wanted.

Agreed. The only time I'd use the phone is if I need to edit a quick on liner or maybe review something for someone. I'm not sure I would qualify it up the laptop standard, yet, but it's certainly getting closer. :)

I've programmed on my tablet while traveling with a bluetooth keyboard. Sure it's not the most efficient thing in the world, but for when I'm in class or on the go... It's surprisingly functional, and can be a good way to pass the time.

The pro isn't free, but it's certainly not outrageous. I've actually done a surprising amount of coding from a tablet on it! :)

In my dorm nearly everyone locked their door when they weren't in the room. If you didn't, your shit was gone. You'd often have neighbors that try to watch out for you, but everyone's schedule is crazy and super inconsistent, and there's just too many people for that to be effective.

I think I'll stick with DroidEdit. It seems to have much more features in the way of remote locations and git repositories. To be perfectly honest, I couldn't imagine how programming on my phone/tablet would be useful without version control.

I've never heard of Makita... I've used Dwalt and Ryobi mostly. Both are good, though I'm partial to Ryobi :)
