I have family in K Falls, and I love to camp out in the Tulelake area. It's a great area to explore!

I was a Caveman myself :-)
I will be there next month, and will stop by!
Good luck with your business, I really hope it works out well for you all! Maybe you guys should start a subblog for your roasting experiences.
Nowhere close! I don't own any of those syrups, and have never worked making drinks. Thanks for information!
That's awesome! My parents never had the opportunity to work directly with the farmers. They kept it to fair trade groups, but were never quite able to make the jump of working directly with the farmers.
Just a general observation of the area/people I know.
My parents roasted in Grants Pass, Oregon. Unfortunately, they weren't able to keep the business through the recession. It was a really hard thing for them to let go, and I'm pretty sure they still miss it.
I really would love to. It's not in the cards now, but I would love to take a summer vacation just driving around the country when I have a few years of savings in the bank!
I was raised a little further south in GP, so honestly, I'm really not that into the rivalry thing either... Idk what your grad program is, but we focus pretty heavily on the Engineering/Science/Math programs so that's probably why.
I suppose. He stayed a night at my place once while he was moving between apartments, and that's actually how I served him his coffee. I wasn't willing to go through all the effort of buying all those syrups (and never use them again) so I put a snickers bar in it like a stir stick...
The amount of room in the cup? Why?
I'm sorry, but know that I know you're a duck... You're dead to me! :P
That was a distinction I didn't catch. Thanks!
My parents used to own a coffee roasting business, and I used to LOVE roasting coffee. Most people that use cream and sugar seem to be used to drinking crappy coffee.
Does saying "black coffee" not work?
Lol. I hate sugar in my coffee, but can tolerate cream. I'm only 22, and I far prefer my coffee black.
I have a friend that buys the flavored syrups coffee stands uses. He always puts one pump (I think that's roughly an ounce?) of carmel, one pump of vanilla, and one pump of salted caramel. Oh, and did I mention this is per 8oz of coffee?
That's what I'm used to as well in Oregon. The pots are even labeled, "Regular" and "Decaf"! :P
I mentioned the West coast at the top of the thread, but more specifically, I'm from Oregon. I live in Corvallis, but spend a lot of time in Eugene and Portland as well.
