1) I just asked my wife who has a degree in psychology and criminology (though not a lawyer) and she says that's in no way a thing.

Yeah, that kind of blew my mind too. You can buy a pound of uncooked jasmine rice for $0.89 cents at the local Winco's bulk section. I just can't imagine throwing that much money away. Rice cookers are awesome and super cheap!!
I've never seen the show actually. I might have to though...
From cigarets? Maybe it's because I'm actually informed, but I truly don't see any kind of a logical leap from one place to another.
I'm sure they would have preferred "daughter of God", but I digress...
Um, excuse me, but the entire Willamette Valley is delightful!
Have you ever noticed the people most likely to say "that it's the parents job to educate their children on sex ed, not the schools", are the ones with some of the most uninformed children?
Eh, that's only sort of true. If it's easy enough to figure out who they're talking about, it could count. Secondly, if it goes to trial and they're found "not guilty", I'm fairly certain what they said would be considered untrue.
I know what you meant, but since they're not convicted, a media outlet can not say that the boys are guilty as a statement of fact yet (even with the video). It seems weird, but it usually does far more good than harm.
The boys are not yet legally guilty. Until they have been convicted, The View has to list it as alleges/claims/whatever or they can be sued for slander/libel.
From a liability pov, yes, absolutely. Even if they're not named by the view, when a case hits the court, it becomes plainly clear who "they" are by anyone that makes the effort to look.
I don't know... It lists his/her comment as 11:49am, and mine as 11:50am. I love it when programmers are too lazy to incorporate timezones into their web development...
What is this from?
During my freshman year in the dorms, I had an exchange student from Saudi Arabia who came from family money. We're talking boat loads of money. He budgeted himself $6,000 a week for "expenses" and he never carried more than $2,000 in cash in his wallet because it was "rudely flashy to the common folk".
I'm really surprised to not see the Moto X on this list...
True. I often forget people have so much trouble with pointers... I've spent some time in x86 assembly, and pointers never really bothered me as a lot of people. That would make sense why it took forever to get him to pass things by reference in PHP... :-/
I know someone who fits that bill... My personal favorite is a friend who specializes in PHP (functional mostly), has passable C++ OO ability, but has no ability at all in C. Try wrapping your brain around that.
Perl? I would definitely recommend PHP, Python, or Ruby over Perl.
This! I know a ton of people who are really only functional in one, maybe two languages. People have nothing to lose by picking up more languages, but there's so much to gain!
I'm sorry, but unless you get some sugru in there this isn't a valid lifehackā¢.
