Is it that liberal? That’s what made this case such a touchstone to me. I don’t think it’s a liberal reading to say that if you love a man and you are a man, then you can be fired, when you wouldn’t be fired for being a woman who loves that same man. That’s clear sex discrimination, to me.

To me, it’s a clear sign of the ACLU’s argument - that you can’t separate sex from sexual orientation if you’re firing a person for loving a man because that person is a man and not a woman - is absolutely airtight logic.

LGBTQ+ discrimination is inherently sex discrimination, because it is about cultural expectations for sex and gender behaviours.
