I still have family in the Society Hill Towers area and in Upper Merion. I lived in the Northeast as a kid. But I’ve been in S. Florida since the mid 70's. Publix makes a pretty good sub but Wawa is better.

Goldbelly is really highway robbery but I love ‘em just the same. Buddy’s Pizza, Zoli’s Pizza, and Zola Bakes Rainbow Cookies are all AMAZING. 

My grandparents were in an ALF in the Northeast so we used to stop at the Philly Pretzel Factory on Grant Ave. Not as “artisan” (their description) as Center City Pretzel Co. but still a real treat compared to Super Pretzels or Wetzel”s Pretzels. I like Wawa’s but they’re a little sweet?

We’ve had Wawa in South Florida for about 5 or 6 years now and I’m still thrilled every time I pull into the parking lot. Sure, they sell Tastykakes at Publix but you can only get the Butterscotch Krimpets at Wawa. I have noticed that the Philly people* really lean into the accent, paying for their gaz.

It’s a ridiculous indulgence but the Center City Pretzels from Goldbelly are really pretty wonderful.
