I think even if he thinks that way he should have felt your anxiety and tried to be there FOR YOU! He may think appendectomy is routine but you didn’t and he should have at least been there to reassure you.

2 things I would stress to you at this point: Find a way to be able to drive yourself anywhere, any time. It’s important to have that sort of independence. Also: you have every right to be mad at him and not second guess yourself. He’s being callous and insensitive.

Can someone please explain to me why many states are totally cool with Stand Your Ground laws/using deadly force to “prevent death or great bodily harm” but this little girl faces life in prison for shooting someone who repeatedly threatened to kill his entire family with that very gun?

Its “natural” for a woman to give birth to eight children and only have a few survive.
