Toronto is one of the least racist cities I’ve ever lived in or visited. Still got racists but ‘racist as fuck’ isn’t quite accurate if you spend any time in, say, Biloxi, Mississippi or Birmingham, Alabama. Or St. Petersburg, Florida. Or Winnipeg. Or Kitchener-Waterloo (which officially is combating racism and has a…
“...if it was in an ethnically homogeneous backwater where the staff people had never had to really confront their own racial biases, but Toronto? Toronto is regularly described as the most diverse, multicultural city in the world. Just no excuse for this on any grounds.”
“No white person looks good in dreads. Our hair is way too slippery and fine for dreads to turn out nice. (Over all, I know hair textures can vary.)”
I’ve noted elsewhere, that kind of style is commonplace in this city in almost every setting. White, black, mixed, other ... they’re just gorgeous braids. If you’re running a wannabe trendy retail store, there is no good reason to bar this sense of style.
“I guess their bias against black/bi-racial hairstyles is so strong that they can’t even see that her hair is the look for Zara.”
“The old pose was a generic over the shoulder pose that came off as sexy because Tracers outfit goes right up her ass crack.
Yes, near as I can tell after reading it. Several times. It’s a turn of phrase, chum. It means I can only infer so much from the text and cannot wholly discern his level of emotional involvement or any additional, unwritten thought behind what he wrote.
“Potatos potatos. It’s what he meant. He wouldn’t post a lenghy comment on forum complaining about it if he didn’t feel offended enough, and yes, the idea was that this particular pose would be a bad influence for his kid.”
Fair enough. Then I apologize for the misunderstanding. It’s the first time I was on the receiving end of what I’ve been told is a board glitch.
You needed to post this FORTY-EIGHT TIMES?
“We should go back and hear the thoughts about “oh my god, this will ruin my kid’s childhood” parent that was presented in the initial post about it.”
“I don’t understand how this new pose somehow makes her butt any less visible.”
Persecution complexes are always a little weird.
They are both playful and sexy poses. The old was was more sexy. This new one is more playful. The difference is subtle but significant to those who care.
This post requires more stars because:
“There is no fucking way this level of work requires a 7-14 day turnaround like his website claims.”
Airtight argument: “But, Mom! They started it!”
“Also, I want to point out your inaccuracy in your post. GG didn’t get Ali Rapp fired, per Nintendo. She was fired for having a second job. Boom. Done.”
