“Assault needs the qualifier of adding terror or fear in TX.”
“Actually, it’s battery. Assault is the threat; battery is the action. Legally speaking...”
This was a fave of my D&D group, too!
Oh, I don’t think he’d pressure them at all. The second they tell Mom that Dad is bugging them, she’ll put an end to it. He is outnumbered 3-to-1, after all.
Right? I need him to come help me with my nieces on Wednesdays. He’s out of a job soon. Think I could book him?
Holy Hannah on a humped back whale of the coast of Hawaii! I mean, let’s just imagine half of those were groomed photo ops., because we know they do that and all. Heck, let’s say it’s two thirds of them.
“This is the exact moment where I thought RGIII was a piece of shit. How much hubris does it take to walk up to someone, AS A ROOKIE, who has NFL records and tell them that he’s a good quarterback.”
Hey, Philly fan, here. I think I’m one of the good ones. I’m a Torontonian, not a Philadelphian. I’ve never punched anyone in the face, set anything on fire, or thrown things at Santa Claus. At least not for reasons associated with football.
Yeah, sure, but I also see pandafresh’s point-of-view which is that the article’s intro kinda reads like a humblebrag or, worse, someone who isn’t quite appreciative of their pretty awesome job.
“lol, no freaking way am I going near this. My opinion of watching someone else play games starts to go down when it goes beyond watching for a comedic glitch, a preview, a revealed secret, or MAYBE a quick strategy tutorial. “Sure, kids add to that but theyre not nearly the only ones easily butthurt.”
You know, that’s an interesting point. It makes me wonder if there is a large percentage of the vocal angry mob made up of people who love games but don’t fit into the traditional nerd/geek box. Perhaps they’re a little more self-conscious and defensive?
If most people didn’t find him funny that still wouldn’t make him unfunny. Very few comics surpass the ‘most people like’ them threshold as comedy tends to have genres, styles, and subject matter which appeal to them.
“Any community of many millions, especially when many of them are young, will inevitably have a lot of angry and thin-skinned people. Is that a surprise?”
“...theyre not really a good measure of whats funny in general since theyre extremely biased.”
Well, then, fair enough.
I would think, like all late night hosts, that he has shot a few zingers that didn’t land.
I have no desire to make you a fan of a comedian whom you already don’t like. Your taste is your own, as is your time.
“Apparently, it’s absolutely impossible to comprehend that this is comedy and not a direct attack on people like him.”
