The Superhero Landing is impervious to mockery. It's still very cool. :)

If the victim's body is parallel to the ground and his is perpendicular (or 'diving'), doesn't wind resistance affect their rate of descent differently, as it does for skydivers?

"Melissa Benoist is the best damn Supergirl out there, and the best damn Superman too."

"Tonight’s episode confirms it: When Melissa Benoist cries, I cry."

As a nurse, I imagine this assessment is nothing new for you (outside of maybe medical dramas). Also, does anyone really say "…stat!"? And speaking of medical dramas, is the frequency of hookups and office romances really that high?

Yes. But it's a secret. For reasons.

I, too, like to imagine they had a Holmes-Moriarty relationship right up until their elder years.

Well, showrunners, you got me. I am sad-mad about Ana's fate. Even if she survives, Whitney Frost is now a villain for whom I can no longer find sympathy. It's not a criticism. I am delighted by my anger and disdain as it means I have been thoroughly entertained this season.

For my part, I read the byline and knew we were going down that road.

Those guys are international treasures, now, komrade.

Networks frequently ask new shows to re-intro the premise, main character quirks, etc., several times in the first handful of episodes. Their perspective is that people who missed the pilot and come in later need the primer in order to get acclimatized.

According to typical network standards:
3 more times in the next 6 episodes.

It's Tatooine and the spacesuits had internal climate control. I'll keep mine on, thankewverymush!

I didn't say 'the monster represents the privileged'. I am more suggesting that the literal monster and the monster of privilege are two different things.

"I don't really need to know William to care. I care about Scully, I care about Mulder, I care about Ma Scully and that's enough."

Yeah, well there's a HUGERER percentage of X-Files fans who care about the stuff I care about. Boom!

"The problem is that there’s no real second step to any of this, no deeper understanding of the monster that changes our perspective or makes it more intimately disturbing."
